ARX Infinity (方舟无限) is a robotics company founded in Beijing in June 2023. It makes force-controlled arms, bimanual data-collection systems and wheeled dual-arm platforms for robot learning research.

No. ARX Infinity is a Beijing company that makes robot arms for research. It is not related to ARX Robotics, the German company that builds unmanned ground vehicles.

ARX lists Physical Intelligence, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, USC, HKUST, Tsinghua, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong, Zhejiang University, Beijing Institute of Technology and SUSTech among its customers. Physical Intelligence's π0 lists "Bimanual ARX" in its training mixture.

The site where customers outside China get quotes, place orders and reach support for ARX hardware. ARX's main site is arx-x.com.

For two-arm tabletop imitation learning, the bimanual platform or AC one. For a single arm with a flexible SDK, X5. For mobile tasks, LIFT 2 or X7. For egocentric data, AC 2.

Yes. X5 senses torque at every joint and uses quasi-direct-drive motors. R5 has force (current) controlled joints. A5 exposes MIT-mode control with stiffness, damping and torque.

Yes. ARX's collect–train–deploy pipeline runs on ROS 2 (Jazzy on Ubuntu 24.04, Humble on 22.04), and the R5 repository has ROS and ROS 2 workspaces.

Yes. Stanford's arx5-sdk drives X5 from Python or C++ without ROS, and ARX publishes Python SDKs for X5 and A5.

Run pip install arx5-interface (Stanford's arx5-sdk, x86_64 and aarch64, Python 3.8 to 3.14), set up your CAN adapter, then run the examples with the model name and CAN interface, for example X5 can0.

ARX recommends Ubuntu 24.04 with an NVIDIA graphics card for its data pipeline. Connect cameras to USB 3 ports, with at most two cameras per USB hub.

Yes. ARX publishes ARX_VR for Meta Quest 3 and documents VR teleoperation for X7s and LIFT2s.

Yes. ARX open-sourced a pipeline migrated from ACT. ARX notes that the models in its demo videos are not the original ACT, so expect to tune models for your tasks.

ARX's own pipeline is ROS 2 and ACT-based. Physical Intelligence trained π0 on data that includes a bimanual ARX platform. Tell us the framework you use and we will confirm support before you order.

ARX lists 21 projects, including π0, π0.5, π0.7, RDT, ViA, Motus and Xiaomi-Robotics-0. EgoVerse and RoboTwin 2.0 also use ARX arms. See the research page for links.
